The Company of Books is a small used bookstore in Alexandria, Virginia. With the tagline and name being part of their existing branding, however, the burgundy color as well as the separated rectangles that make it up both felt disconnected from the tagline so using mainly blues as well as more detailed graphics the goal was to invoke a calmer feeling of freedom as well as making it more clear that it was a bookstore from the imagery alone.
