Wheel Day is an event in my hometown that I always remember fondly however it has also been advertised with the same 2000s-esque design for my entire life. I drew a scooter and a bike with training wheels for this design because it is predominantly an event for young kids and the language of any nonmotorized wheeled vehicle is clunky, The balloons are meant to be an indicator of the tone of the event as well as a call to one of the main traditions of the event which is decorating one’s wheels. Overall I did not want to crowed the poster and since it is a tradition in my hometown I chose to lean into the fact that much of the information about the event is common knowledge including the website for more information.
